Bio

Vandana Basra is an officiating assistant professor at Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Kaleran. She teaches anatomy and physiology.

Prior to her current position, Vandana Basra obtained clinical experience as a labour room bedside nurse from August, 2005 to November, 2006. Thereafter, she became a teacher of nursing, with positions at:

  • Guru Nanak Institute of Health Science and Research, from 2008 to 2009
  • Ramgarhia Institute of Health and Science Research in Phagwara, from September, 2009 to January, 2013

From August 2015 to May 2020, she worked as a teacher at Guru Nanak College of Nursing. She became an associate professor at the college in April, 2023.

Vandana Basra completed her General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) diploma from Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana in 2004. She graduated with her Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing in Hoshiarpur, in 2008. She completed her Master of Science in obstetrics and gynecological nursing (MScN) at Dasmesh College of Nursing in Faridkot, in 2023. Her diploma and degrees were conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.

Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan-Kaleran is affiliated to and recognized by the Punjab Government, the Punjab Nurses Registration Council in Mohali and the Indian Nursing Council in New Delhi. The BScN, Post Basic BScN and MScN degrees are conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot, Punjab.
