How to apply to attend our nursing programs

Each of our programs has a different application process. Please see notes below on how to apply to attend our nursing school.

General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) program

An application form must be completed and the following documents provided:

  • A copy of the applicant’s Detail Marks Card, showing they have passed 10+2 examinations.
  • A certificate of passing for the matriculation examination (showing the applicant’s date of birth)
  • Three recent passport-sized photographs
  • An Aadhaar Card (originals will be returned to you after registration with the Punjab Nurses’ Registration Council)
  • A character certificate from the headmaster or principal of the educational institute last attended by the applicant

The application, along with the above items, must either be:

  • Submitted online
  • Filled out as a hard copy and delivered to the College of Nursing in-person (at the front office desk)
  • Sent by registered mail

*Please only apply using only ONE of the above methods.

Admission is based on the merit of 10+2 marks. Those who meet the eligibility criteria will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Applicants will be notified on the day of, or soon after the college receives their application whether or not they have been admitted to the program.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program is administered by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.

Prospective students submit applications through Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

During the application process, a preference of colleges can be stated. To attend our school, select “Guru Nanak College of Nursing Dhahan Kaleran.”

Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PB BScN) program

The Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program is administered by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.

Prospective students submit applications through Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

During the application process, a preference of colleges can be stated. To attend our school, select “Guru Nanak College of Nursing Dhahan Kaleran.”

Important notes:

If at any stage it is found that an applicant has given false information in their application, their candidature will be nullified.

Approved applicants who fail to pay their fees on time are deemed to have forfeited their seat. Their seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate(s) on the waiting list.
