Bio
Sunita Lakhwara is a nursing tutor who has been working with Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan-Kaleran since 2003. She teaches courses on child health nursing, sociology and nutrition.
As a teacher, she values being able to make a positive impact on her students. She desires to help students in their journey to becoming skilled and successful nurses.
Prior to her current position, she worked as a nursing tutor at:
- Dr. B.L. Kapur Memorial Hospital in Ludhiana, from 1995 to 1997
- Lala Lajpat Rai Institute Of Nursing Education in Jalandhar, from 1997 to 2001
- Dr. B.L. Kapur Memorial Hospital in Ludhiana, from 2001 to 2003
Before becoming a nursing tutor, she worked as a staff nurse at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, from 1993 to 1995. In particular, she worked in the burn unit and private medicine ward.
Sunita Lakhwara achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Panjab University in 1993. In 2021, she completed an online, health care professional development course from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
