Bio
Sandeep Kaur is a nursing tutor who has been working with Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Kaleran, Punjab, since 2017. She teaches anatomy and physiology, pathology and medical surgical nursing to students in their first and second year of the baccalaureate program. In the past she has also taught community health nursing.
Her goal as a teacher is to cultivate curiosity and creativity within her students, while developing their knowledge and skill set through guidance and support. She also aims to create a positive classroom environment by listening to her students and forming strong relationships with them.
Sandeep Kaur achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) in 2008 from Kurukshetra University in Thanesar, Haryana. Since then, she has acquired years of teaching experience including:
- As a clinical instructor at the Guru Nanak Nursing Training Institute and Hospital, in Wariana (near Jalandhar), from September 2008 to October 2009
- As a clinical instructor at the Sandhu Institute of Nursing in Nawanshahr, from November 2009 to June 2011
- As a nursing tutor at the Royal Institute of Nursing in Batala, from July 2011 to December 2013
She completed the year-long Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from ECON CareSkill Training Centre (ECTC) in Singapore between 2016 and 2018. During this time, she also worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Ling Kwang Home for Senior Citizens, in Serangoon, Singapore, between 2015 to 2017.
