Bio
Pooja Rani is a teacher of medical surgical nursing at Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Kaleran, Punjab.
She appreciates the field of medical surgical nursing because it not only teaches nurses how to handle the surgical solution to a disease; it also teaches them how to care for the disease afterwards.
Pooja Rani completed her General Nurse Midwifery (GNM) and Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Gursewa College of Nursing in Panam, Hoshiarpur between 2007 to 2013. Her degree was conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.
She received a one-month, online General Nurse Midwifery healthcare training certificate from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in 2021.
Between 2013 to 2016, Pooja Rani gained clinical experience as a staff nurse at Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan Kaleran. She also volunteered as a staff nurse for the National Rural Health Mission during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She began her teaching career at Guru Nanak College of Nursing in 2016.
Her favourite part about nursing is helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment plan. She feels that nursing is just as much about listening to the patient as it is about providing care to them.
