Bio
Kuljit Kaur Saini is a nursing tutor who has been working with Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Kaleran since 2022. She teaches mental health and biophysics.
As a teacher of psychology and mental health in nursing, Kuljit Kaur Saini helps students learn the importance of being able to assess the signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. She also teaches them how to properly care for patients with these issues.
In addition to treating patients with mental illnesses, she believes the understanding of mental health allows nurses to develop proper interpersonal relationships. It makes them good communicators in their personal and professional lives. It also equips them for life’s challenges.
Her biophysics classes deal with the basics of life, from molecules, cells and complex bodily systems that keep us alive. Course material covers the nervous, circulation, immune and other systems.
Prior to becoming a nursing tutor, Kuljit Kaur Saini obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at Sandhu Institute of Nursing in Nawanshahr, Punjab in 2020. Her degree was conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.
She worked as an ICU nurse at Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan-Kaleran between 2021 and 2022, before becoming a nursing tutor.
