Bio
Jasvir Kaur is a teacher who has been working with Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan-Kaleran, since 2019. She teaches personal hygiene to students in the General Nurse Midwifery diploma program.
She enjoys teaching personal hygiene because of how closely it is related to overall health, even though it takes place as a simple part of our daily lives. She deems it fundamental to reveal how personal hygiene can prevent diseases within an entire community.
At an interpersonal level, she believes in teaching students to care for their patients with good bedside manner. She aims to create cooperative environments in her classrooms. She believes that this way, students will be comfortable asking questions, which will allow them to broaden their understanding of nursing topics.
Jasvir Kaur studied for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree at Sandhu Institute of Nursing in Mahalon, Punjab, between 2011 to 2015. Her degree was conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.
Upon graduating, she worked as a staff nurse at Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan-Kaleran from May, 2016 to June, 2017. Between August, 2017 to February, 2019, she worked at Sun Hospital in Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur.
