Bio
Harvinder Kaur is a teacher of community health nursing at Guru Nanak College of Nursing in Dhahan Kaleran, Punjab.
She believes nursing is essential not only for comprehensive patient care, but for the betterment of communities as a whole. When community health is uplifted, it advances the development of an entire country. To that end, she enjoys teaching community health nursing because it provides nurses the opportunity to interact with patients in their home environments. This is where they can form effective nurse-patient relationships, and educate patients on health-related issues.
Harvinder Kaur also likes that community health nursing courses provide a forum for student feedback and ideas. This format keeps the subject interesting for everyone involved.
Prior to becoming a teacher, Harvinder Kaur worked at Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan Kaleran from March, 2021 to May, 2022.
She completed her bachelor of science in nursing (BScN) in 2020 at the college where she now teaches. Her degree was conferred by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot.
